Consumer goods are just way cheaper than in the ‘70s and ‘80s but big ticket items like housing and college are way up so the discussion is skewed.

One of the issues is that what has made consumer goods wildly cheaper (and therefore affordable) is globalization. So to agree with you is to accept that the changes in the economy to free trade made affordability better. That seems like the central disconnect.

How does that in any way “mirror” the Canadian system? We pay taxes and we get healthcare at no cost (for the most part). Doesn't matter if you’re employed or not.

I know this is an insane question but why aren't local authorities arresting these “agents” for assault, kidnapping and unlawful confinement. At some point, a mayor or governor has to take a stand.

I'm shocked that Americans still don't get it. Look at the policies: vaccines pulled, cancer research stopped, SNAP ended, etc. MAGAs want the least “genetically fit” (in their opinion this includes the poor) gone. It's pure eugenics. Wake up!

They’ve been doing it forever. It doesn't work because they have to open their mouths to talk at some point and then it becomes painfully obvious that they're not Canadian.

I live in Vancouver, but just returned from a trip to Montreal, London and Edinburgh. I walked the streets of all three at night, in the dark, and was not murdered, threatened, assaulted or robbed. And no masked paramilitary snatching people off the streets. Wake up!!!

But aren't they openly admitting that the desecration of the East Wing is the equivalent of the vandalism and wonton destruction of public property done by rioters!! Meaning its reprehensible and disgusting. Even they can see it!

My hunch is that he wants to move all the offices out of the WH to the “ballroom” and convert the main building into a Mar-a-lago style palace where he and his family can live in perpetuity Saddam Hussein-style. But, he should probably think about where that ended up.
