I heard Lucy Dacus give her teenage self advice recently. She told her younger self “to do more gay shit.” Lucy is 10 yrs younger and already feeling what I feel now, that so many years were lost to sexual shame, especially those where experimentation was age appropriate. Here’s to 39.

“I Wish We Could Know that We Will be Ok.” Repeating this wish over and over again on the typewriter, but allowing my subconscious to change it over time. Like a word search, you may see words stand out. Sometimes it’s a plea, sometimes it’s “we will be okay.”

My adorable kiddo was “Wind 2” in his Montessori middle school’s performance of Seussodyssey. His 15 seconds on stage had him SO nervous. He said on the drive home “right before I went out I felt my heart beating so fast.” 😭😭😭

If politics is a game, we have to admit that the left is really bad at the game. I suppose having morals, and wanting the game to be fair is a disadvantage in the game. I don’t know if Trump is a mastermind, or just a puppet, but either way, they are running the game right now and that sucks.
