I don't think that's fair . Most Americans might not *realize* that they've lost their democracy or freedom or rights, but they would care if they knew.

Zelensky's approval rating *before* the war was at 37%.
This doesn't mean he's evil, but let's not build him up as a hero based on his wartime popularity.

This is what happens to societies in decline that don't fund science and R&D. Foreign institutions hire their best and brightest, thus accelerating the decline and improving their own status in the process. It's called a brain drain, and it's happening to the US right now.

Yes. Although to be fair, the US military haven't applied these standards for a long time. "Collateral damage" is barely frowned upon nowadays - *especially* when it's in a brown country (which it always is), e.g. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, etc.

The US is using the same language to oppose UN resolutions against Russia, that it has used for decades to block the ones condemning Israel. Words like "antagonistic" or "not constructive to peace".
