Go back to paper ballot papers and counting by hand. It may be time consuming and need lots of people, but that in itself tends to prevent fraud as there are lots of people to keep things in check.

This is NAZI germany in the 1930’s all over again. We tried to stop history repeating itself by having remembrance days of world wars 1 & 2, but powerful people became corrupt and just ignored it anyway.
If we ignore the past, we are doomed to repeat it, so here we go again.
