I don't have the creative energy to dive into revisions yet. Instead I'm focusing on other levers I can adjust.
I used the manuscript to generate a word cloud. This is an easy way for me to find words I'm overusing so I know where to start throwing a thesaurus.

Progress on the book has been fantastic. The climax was spread across two chapters and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Now we’re to the reveals. Denouement and all that.
And I just can’t. 3 chapters left maybe, and I’m slamming hard into that wall.

95% of the time I really like my boss, but his need to leave his mark on a document is real. I’ve copy/pasted content from his own templates and that Google Doc has so many redlines you’d think we’re designing a bus system.

This manuscript’s almost done. Act 3 is set and we’re quickly approaching the point of no return.

Installed my first light switch! All of the basement shared a single switch, not ideal for the bedroom down there. I pulled that light from the circuit and sourced it from an outlet in the room instead.
Nothing caught fire, it worked the first time, and I only needed two bandaids!

Naive? Absolutely, but it was meant to be aspirational.
Now it just describes how low the bar is.
