I thought I'd see if I could combine my love of New Zealand's outdoors with my love of motorcycles, and managed to go for a great hike with my motorcycle gear. This ASMR-adjacent video is the result.

Quick jaunt on the bike then chased home by the storm (Garmin gave me a heads-up, there). Nice to get out. Feel the gravel beneath my wheels, keeping it twisted, live fast, die hard, eat up some miles. And all that. 🤘 Also got to try out a couple of Christmas presents. 🫶

Great to see that the free range Christmas food options have all sold out at the supermarkets, but I hope they take note of the demand and invest less in the caged options for next year.

Worrying that the minimum age limit for Bluesky users isn't top of mind for its CEO. (It's 13. Jay thought it was 18.)
I'd be all for banning social media use for under 16s. No social network should be a part of teenagers' formative years.

Mailchimp tries so hard to help email marketers, but it still surprises me when you go to unsubscribe from an email and can clearly see the audience name that you've been added to. Often called something like 'Losers whose details we bought from Geoff.'

Really loving how customisable the Bluesky feed is. It took me a while to start playing around, but I can now see how easy it is to change your feed to suit your current vibe. Nicely done.

I am all for banning social media for children under 16. They're not ready for it, and Social Media networks shouldn't be doing anything at all with their data.

I was mentally prepared for it to be a knife edge and a wait. I wasn’t prepared for it to be so decisive. Climate wasn’t discussed much during the campaign, but I fear that’s where the longest-term consequences of this lie. Future timelines of carbon etc, with an arrow pointing to today.
