It’s beyond infuriating to see such a disingenuous discussion play out in public so unbelievably after the fact and after we’ve set all this out in detail over multiple years. Still no promise of meaningful action, just lots of cover for past inaction and embarrassment of current state of affairs.

Bluesky hive mind: I set up this account but I think I messed up as I followed too many starter packs and maybe the wrong ones as my whole feed is American football all day - no interest in this and it’s putting me off app. Feels like too much work to unpick. Here's the 30 seconds I spent with him in c.2003. I remember this fondly because, true to character, he was having a stand up row with the person he's glaring at here.

Bluesky clearly reaching a tipping point from X amongst media, academics, commentariat etc. So time to take it seriously. Though have concerns for the future if BS/X just splits between obvious social and political lines. Could make it harder to know what’s going on and what people really think etc.

People have been asking me all week if I'm on Bluesky, so with this tweet (?) I can now say I am.
