I liked that they tried something different today.

I think the initial revamp can be given a pass since the original Klingons were just shoe-polish skin and dodgy goatees. Big jumps in both budget and makeup techniques allowed them to refine the look for the first movie. The change in Discovery was just unnecessary.

Maybe they had respect for the canon in seasons 2-5 but not in season 1. They got so many things wrong, with the Klingons being the worst example. They were so different, they were like a different species. I feel they course-corrected in season 2 and the show improved from there going forward.

I can’t get my head around this, and trying to make sense of it has broken my brain.

I was about 7/8 when I saw it in the cinema. Couldn’t handle it. My dad had to take me outside and bring me for a walk. My twin brother was fine though and my mum stayed with him and watched it til the end.

I am completely confused by this. What do they do instead of carrying the 1?

I know the phone numbers of more than a dozen of my clients off by heart. Other people in the office, particularly the younger trainees find this fascinating. I’ve been calling these people for over 10 years. To me it’s only natural that I’d remember them 🤷‍♂️
