6 years back we had a long weekend in Seoul and had absolutely no idea how bitterly cold it would be.

I really like this concept of kilo sales where you pay for secondhand clothes by weight.
There's a good one in Marzahn every few weeks, endless selection and fun to dig through the rails.

Had absolutely no expectations before going, but it's a stunning little place - all old buildings, street art, natural scenery and amazing food.

As a kid I was an enthusiastic member of the Young Ornithologists Club in the UK so crane migration season over Berlin is no joke a highlight of my year.

I used to bake quite a lot of bread, but don't often have time any more.
Yesterday I tried just dumping all the bread ingredients in a stand mixer and letting it do the work.
Turns out the KitchenAid took a fraction of the effort and did a better kneading job than I ever did 😂

I don't mean to boast but I actually saw Union lose twice this weekend.
What we didn't gain in points we made up for in cherished memories. And trains.

Yesterday's connection stop was in Wuppertal, home to this magnificent bastard of a hanging monorail.
It's a great shame for us all that these did not catch on anywhere except Wuppertal.
