The Braves (and to you point all of MLB) have done a lot… but they’ve also done things like move to the ‘burbs because their fanbase is there.

Not sure if you mean that the city itself leans one way or another. Looking at the precincts in AZ, Phoenix is very much a liberal oasis in the desert.

Gotta love the focus on “community cohesion” - of the various communities that I’ve been a part of, they either have a focus on acceptance of diversity or forced homogenization. Either can achieve cohesion. One has greater potential for success during changing times.

One small correction @brianstelter.bsky.social - it was MSN (the Microsoft Network) where the first part of the name came from… and the overlap of the N with NBC was complementary. If I recall correctly.
