anyway, the one bit of editorial design flourish brunner allows himself are these condensed sans section titles and the japanese gradients in the background. and its fun seeing Apple acknowledge the work and adopt these elements and fold them back into the core OS design language with iOS25

sounds like it would be a forced experience, but it ends of doing a lovely job of combining dialogue and context in way that feels very true to the internet era

maybe the best bit of editorial design since the pandemic is issue 29 of zweikommasieben by laurenz brunner. all the interior content is shown on a phone screen (reflecting the process of making it) and the cover simply layers up all the interior spreads
