I can’t get over the feeling that she’s like a lot of progressive populists in treating participating in a meaningful way means you’re selling out or being sullied by the system itself.

Also, AOC is mostly popular with people who aren’t serving in the House. She’ll probably outlast the Squad and she’s high profile but she’s not even trying to climb the Democratic leadership ladder.
