... And getting alternatives to software up and running were not my favorite parts. So I do recognize it's not a frictionless switch.

I hear Bazzite is pretty fully featured out of the box. In that sense it's better than Fedora KDE, which e.g. doesn't support h.265 out of the box.

I dunno if you're personally like that, but I felt discovering KDE Plasma to be a joy, actually. It had been so long since I'd had an OS that doesn't have interests that conflict with mine.

Though admittedly learning some terminal commands, getting to know package managers and packaging formats...

Install an extra SSD and dual-boot Linux! The KDE Plasma desktop feels like Windows, but better than it ever was. Fedora KDE is what I use but I hear good things about Ultramarine Linux, Bazzite, Nobara and CachyOS. All have KDE

Just bought an .xyz domain on Porkbun for 12 Dollars yearly. Cheaper TLDs have reputation problems (i.e. may be blocked by blocky things). You can run software like ddns-updater by qdm12 to update the entry. I plan on running that in a container on my home server, same as DuckDNS.

Seems to be common lately. Gonna look into ddns on a domain I own.

I have a 3060 Ti and thus the B580 is pretty much a sidegrade, unfortunately. I'd love to show my support for this 3rd player that's only getting better.

I'm happy it's been introduced, but I wish you could switch between '80% max' mode and 'top up just before morning alarm' mode with less button presses and swipes. It takes ~6 now, I need a quick settings button! 80% mode for stay-at-home days and the other mode for days when I'm heading out.
