Silver lining to combing the grocery shelves for non-US products: new and exciting finds! When I read on the jars that all Bick’s pickles are product of USA, I panicked - then tried these little guys out of Toronto. Our family’s new favourite pickles are Matt&Steve’s and they’re far superior!

Today is Ash Wednesday. Last night over pancake dinner for Shrove Tuesday, I discussed with our kids what a billion Christians are supposedly observing during this season called Lent. "Jesus turned his face to Jerusalem." 1/
