Not really. The idea of Eze is that it frees up Merino and Trossard to share the minutes with Gyokeres. And it makes sense I don't think you want either of them playing all the minutes Havertz would have done up top but if those 2 can share Havertz minutes up top that's quite a good option.

The Trossard contract is just a coincidence. Arsenal offered him the deal at the end of last season its just taken Trossard this long to decide to stay as he was looking at his options.
