Finally got to play Old Skies over the new year, and thoroughly enjoyed it - definitely helped by Fia being such an interesting and well-written protagonist. All the great reviews have been well earned!

It most recently saved me from water spurting in my face when part of my wall-mounted shower fitting got slightly loose and was leaking. I brainfroze, holding the wrench around the nut, until I'd remembered this phrase.

I think my favourite scene in the whole series is when the ruddy-faced stepfather in The Speckled Band barges into 221B Baker St to threaten Holmes. Jeremy Brett makes the scene by peppering his dismissive response with laughter and half-second smiles in the face of a man ready to explode.

As someone who has been struck with a properly sore throat in the past 24 hours, this stuff is great - it's fast-acting and effective. I'll also be using a combo of Lemsip Max and Supahoney.

Both of us, in very different settings, did an Election Count stint where neither of us wanted to be there. I reported on local results coming in, while you had the somewhat-difficult mission of trying to cheer up the nation after the exit poll came in.
