When you adopt a husky mix from Nunavut, you don’t expect the dog to love baking on the deck in the sun during a heat warning. Thankfully I was able to convince her to come in before she went from ‘medium’ to ‘well done’.

THIS is why we foster. Yesterday this girl was a terrified little meatball who didn’t even want to be perceived by man or beast. Today she gets to be a dog again. She has a full belly. A soft, warm place to sleep. And hopefully a forever family in her future. ❤️ #adoptdontshop
