Maybe the weakest defense of SCOTUS I've read from Sunstein in a while. “Supreme Court justices cannot be partisan hacks as long as they do not openly declare in their opinions that they are acting as partisan hacks” is non-sensical. Wallet Inspector levels of rhetoric.

You can see it developing in real time: this person is incapable of seeing that she's being manipulated by her favourite outlet because it isn't Fox News. The NYT is openly using its institutional position to launder this shit because they know they'll be taken "seriously".

Quick question about FL - R turnout numbers were much better for Rs in 01 than 06, yet Patronis performed far worse than Fine (D+14 v. D+7 swing btwn reg and final margin), which seems odd given candidate quality/fundamentals. Why do you think that is? Less national attention? Ads spending?

He's remembered at the first "trustbuster" for letting the DOJ go after Morgan and Rockefeller and reviving the Sherman Act, but he was ambivalent about the role of monopolies in American society, and the 1912 policy debates with Wilson and Taft (who embraced his OG antitrust policy!) reflects that.
