i wanted him to basically be Milo's "first" friend by force
like, they arent exactly friends when the stort starts. theyre still just roommates, but vincent already assumes theyre friends so anytime milo calls him "vincent" instead of "vinny" he gets rlly confused

but whatever hes working towards takes a lot of determination, so even if hes bad in school hes willing to try his best in order to make up for any shortcomings

hes also rlly fucking stupid so mika gives him extra lessons and study time to make up for it
he wants to work hard to get a well paying job for reasons he doesn't like to talk abt too much. even tho hes extroverted, hes not the type to yap abt his problems unprompted

except she doesn't like milo too much cuz hes too hard to talk to

she finds solace in her small study/tutoring group with mika, milo, and vincent
talking to too many new ppl at once can trip her up, so taking it slow with the three of them gives her chances to practice interacting and becoming closer with others

nicole is extremely socially anxious and sees it as a flaw that she wants to overcome thru talking to others and making friends. she's an astronomy major, so she's very smart but a lot of those skills dont include talking to ppl
