I fianlly got here, and I'm going to figure out how to put up a photo...soon.
I didn't publish anything this year, but I have secured a union job at Metro Transit as a tech writer that provides me with newfound security and doubled my income. The downstream effects of that on my creative work -- decreased stress, ability to afford workshops, etc -- make it absolutey worth it.

I caught pneumonia on a grad school visit spring break, sr yr college. After 3 weeks, a couple rounds of weak antibiotics, & trying to finish my thesis, I ended up in the ER w/ a fever of 103, tripping balls on codeine cough syrup. That's how I spent a weekend in the psych ward.

I've been fighting this damn sinus infection all week. Might have to sell my ticket to see the Wallflowers tonight. Priority is getting better for my friend's wedding Sunday.

I've been trying to watch Wolf's Rain on Crunchyroll, and there's something really weird going on with the screen. Like it's split and repeating. Very disorienting and difficult to watch.

Peter is the writer who's influenced me the most. There's very few writers who I loved when I was 12, who I still love now. And he's a good man, too.

I was grumpy for maybe a half hour, which seems about right. I might take some free time at work and send the LOC a polite, constructive note about making the signing lines a bit more accessible, which could be helpful for a lot of people.

You once said the top 2 things are health and family. My gf was was also in town, but she didn't come because she gets overwhelmed. So I choose health and family, which seems like the adult, responsible thing to do?

If my biggest complaint is not getting a book signed, things are going well. 😀
