Difficult to know how to answer without sounding simplistic or overblown. The closest I can come is the portrayal of the desire to capture that elusive moment. I'm writing something at the moment which is either the best thing I have ever managed, or the worst. Told you it would sound rubbish!

I recommended Beast to my writing friends this afternoon and made sure they all wrote it down. I really enjoyed it and it made me think about my own work in a different way. Thank you.

Just finished the brilliant 'Beast' by @luluallison.bsky.social. It is supposed to be a reread of Iris Murdoch's 'The Sea, The Sea' next, but I'm a little daunted by its heft.
