Yes, it's exactly what it would have had - if it had had them! 😄

So sorry you've had a tough week. May next week be wonderful. And those look fabulous!

Would look great - if it was straight! 😂 Seriously, looks perfect.

It rained here today. I got wet moving the bird table.

War and Peace is certainly long, but not a difficult read, IMO. It is a great story with great characters.

To be honest, I thought parish ministry was all about spinning plates! 😄

I think "his" refers to the seaman in both cases - "his moods" and "his tenses [senses]". The seaman is "indulged as a child" and "punished as a brute". That's my reading of it.

I checked the original too. If the seaman "in his moods" is when he's out-of-sorts, then "in his senses" does make sense of a sort. It's still awkward though. But I don't buy the grammar interpretation.

It's weird, but I'm inclined to think it is a typo for "in his senses".

Aldebaran is a star but I'm sure you knew really.

Reminds me of Dickens: "And yet Scrooge, having his key in the lock of the door, suddenly saw in the knocker Marley’s face."

Lovely!

Blimey. Lovely portrait.

I hope so!

Great! I'll give it a go. (My uneasiness is nothing to do with the quality of the software; just that I know of software companies that have had free software which has been allowed to languish - there's little incentive to update them when they are not part of the revenue stream.)
November 6, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Yes, I bet! At least it was a full moon. 🌕
November 6, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Blimey! 😮
November 6, 2025 at 3:51 PM
You're probably right.

I like Affinity, though I've yet to try the new free version. I have to say the 'free' bit does make me uneasy.
