Iconic sound. No surprise it didn't get a floow up in the US. Here in the UK he had a few more hit singles but nothing of this calibre.

Yes i remember the books at the time they were really popular inbthe uk. We loved an alien conspiracy. Too much nonsense these days to get excited by alien life, I mean why would they bother?!

It always baffles me when articles like this appear. His catalogue was never a big seller and other than his 80s output where he wanted what he thoughht he was due after 70s loss of earnings he was always a cult artist who sometimes had a song that resonated. Certainly an artist to be judged on art.

Interesting one. A place he didnt seem to enjoy and couldnt wait to get away from but this had a major effect on his drive because of this....down on his knees in suburbia

The subject is too big for this type of doc. Think they wanted to start at Glastonbury but had to create a narrative to show that comeback impact and basically 2/3rds of doc saying "well he used to be good once you know". Moving of course but this type of doc not for me.
