#birds - This flew into my backyard a few minutes ago - at first I thought it was an immature bald eagle because it was so large, but it was black. The wingspan was about six feet, and it flew between me and the tree so I could judge the size well. Akwesasne, Ontario

Sad news - Jane Goodall has passed away at 91. Great life of service to living things. Fun to meet in person - here she's vogueing for me in a Hudson's Bay coat she was presented with at Laval University in Quebec City around 1990.
