If Apple is going to drop Major League Baseball - I think they should get behind a new sport - Ultimate Frisbee which already has a professional league in the US and is played throughout the world, and seems a good "fit" with Apple.

This was my favourite announcement at WWDC25 - Journal on Mac wasn't mentioned but was in the bento box. I am sure Day One isn't happy.

With more time on my hands since I retired, I thought I would be using Social Media more than when I was working. I actually find I use it considerably less. Not having a daily commute, makes a huge difference.

It's so disappointing that @netflix.com integration into Apple TV was a bug. Why do the executives of Netflix realise that we will watch more Netflix shows if this feature was enabled, not less. It's a perplexing decision.

8 days in the UK after 20 years in Asia. I can't believe I get to see my boys run through English woods after spending their whole lives in Hong Kong. I've never seen Charlie run so much. Maybe it's because he is cold! #frenchbulldog

I’m finalizing my tax affairs in Hong Kong, exploring unfamiliar places. I rely on my Apple Watch and AirPods for navigation. Siri’s reminders to walk down a particular street made me chuckle, though I’m glad the street name wasn’t reversed.

My last few days in Hong Kong and the weather is seriously pissing me off. I have been sweating bullets for months and this last week it has been blue skies, 18° and low humidity, in essence perfect. It's been lovely spending time walking around the city for the last time.

I've done it. Deactivated Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads and X, leaving only Bluesky. In retirement I want to concentrate on connecting with people in real life and messaging people directly. Been thinking about it a while and this seems the perfect time to make that decision.

As a retirement present to myself I am seriously contemplating getting these Beolab 28 speakers from Bang & Olufsen. They are not cheap. Anyone have any opinions or reviews of these. I think they look beautiful and I love the simplicity. I even think Mrs B would like how they look.

Here's a thing. When you get an email asking for feedback. If it is good then give it. People working in service industries generally only get negative feedback. Change the dynamics - recognise the good.

Just had the pet transporter picking up our dogs for there first flight from Hong Kong to the UK. I am not usually very emotional but seeing there little faces in these big crates. 😢

For the last 20 years I have been an Expatriate or Expat. Does this mean when I move back to the U.K. at the end of the month that I need to label myself a Repat?
