Myself and a colleague at the photo archive where we worked tried to drum up interest in a daft book - The Colourful World of Football in the Seventies. It was to be all black and white photos with no action pix - just gems like this and much more besides. We got no takers.

This looks very neat, Paul.

As a lad I used to spend time with my aunt and cousins who had moved from London to a village just outside Bristol (118miles). I was something of an exotic visitor. My aunt's neighbours asked me if we had trees in London. I've often wondered if any of them ever went to see for themselves.

He's forever Bud White in my universe; but I will obviously admit that Jack Aubrey is in there, somewhere, too.

I just got the new Tamiya version with link and length tracks yesterday. I doubt it will offer anything like the issues prevailing with your Bronco kit.

Time will tell. Its also a bit sad.

I was 11 in 1970, so the decade is a hugely important time in my life. Its easy to be selective recalling the power cuts, the bins strike, IRA bombs or renting colour TVs, the Silver Jubilee and Arsenal in 5 Cup Finals etc; but the important thing is to be honest. It was rubbish compared to today.
