My radical thought is that property taxes are a scam. I buy my home and land. Pay off the mortgage and continue to pay taxes on my property. If I don't pay the taxes you take it from me. Even though I bought it, paid off the loan, and "own" it. It makes it seem more like I am leasing my property.

If you are poorly educated you are less likely to travel, less likely to obtain work in another country, less likely to start a business, less likely to "climb the ladder", less likely to ask critical questions, less likely to think independently.

Having a parent in the early stages of dementia is hard. Today I told my mom three times I work until 3pm. And she asked if I was home before 3pm and I had to tell her again that no I am at work. She used to remember *everything* it was impossible to get anything past her.

Musk is involved with the current administration while donating money to campaigns and is literally providing a significant financial incentive for voters to align with what he wants you to vote for is so incredibly corrupt. I don't understand. Like this descend into fascism is insane.

I realistically think I am not built for the hustle. Tried it for the last like....16 years and decided that it isn't for me. I am built to live in the woods or highlands or whatever and to forage and farm. Work from home and tend to my land kind of life.
