I sold home computers in the '80s. It's my fault. I was just that good.

Seriously if you look at the penetration numbers not everyone had them. The people who did buy were often trying to give their kids a leg up. Or they were concerned not knowing computers would hurt them in their workplace.

I never had the aha moment where it clicked for me. Every time I have use it (not often) I have to restudy it and use way too much trial and error.

Admittedly I'm a hobbyist programer but I've used multiple languages over 45 years.

I sold personal computers starting in the early '80s. The first hard drive I ever sold was a mere 15 MB for $2,495.

The drop in cost per gigabyte over my adult life has been breathtaking.
