Happy Earth Day.

That little tiny phone uses a lot of the earths resources to make it. (And creates lots of waste too).

Keep it longer, repair it and pass it on for reuse.

We can all help.

Developing an edit and ideas for “unbound”, my ongoing project about European enclaves.

1- German enclaves created by border changes proposed in 1920.
2- Austrian enclave Jungholz

From a designer who only had a plastic ruler and can only do straight lines. Maybe cheated with the wheels, or got a mate to do it - they should be square.

From work in progress, “unbound”, exploring Europe’s enclaves.

Little bits of countries that are separated from their motherland and enclosed by another country. Like footprints from the history of Europe.

Jungholz, Austria 2024.

Brexit has only been good for a few charlatans and hedge funds who bet against the UK, red tape creators and “journalists” repeatedly platformed on the topic.

For everyone else’s it has been negative.

Time for a reset.

More viaduct than true bridge … but hey. You’ll find this one is in Belgium (part of the Vennbahn) crossing Germany at Mützenich.

Post seen. Quote with abridge from your gallery.

A small detour and a diversion from my work on “unbound”. Just West of the four enclaves in the SBA in Cyprus is Pyla.

Inside the UN Buffer Zone, it is one of the few places where Greek and Turkish Cypriots live side by side

Exploring enclaves-exclaves in Europe as part of my ongoing “unbound” project. Leaving Campione and heading into Switzerland, but it is Italy again in only a 1000 or so meters (but an impossible climb).

One of the benefits of working on a project about enclaves-exclaves in Europe is that you get to travel to some awesome and interesting places.

Part of my ongoing research and work on ‘unbound’.

The football ground at Campione d’Italia. Overlooks the town and Lake Lugano. Thanks to Gianni (the coach) for access.

From a recent trip to the Spanish-French border in the Cerdanya region. The Fira de Puigcerdà. A celebration of local culture, some horse trading (literally) and a chance to meet friends.

A small diversion from work on my “unbound” project exploring the 40+ European enclaves.

There is something very wrong with the UK energy market 👇👇

Off the beaten track during recent research trip to Llivia for my “unbound” project.

European enclaves, created by a mixture of historical relics, absurdities and conflicts, despite their history and being at the periphery, they represent places of collaboration, community and success.

We need a better #righttorepair, the UK now lags behind Europe and some US states.

There are also many repair, reuse and sharing solutions we could adopt or adopt.
