That said, I think CSP still requires running in a wine container and has some quirky setup, so mileage may vary.
As for video editing, I wanna say that I’ve recently heard of some solid video editing solutions that run on Linux, but I haven’t been able to dive into that scene much myself yet

I plugged my cintiq 13HD into my steam deck and used Krita with it a while back, and it had worked out of the box. I can’t remember if it had display switching or all of the usual Wacom stuff, I’ll have to give it another look, but I feel like that might bode well for art on a steam machine.

when I last used a huion, compatibility with older software like Flash & SAI wasn't where it needed to be, though that may have changed. but I've heard good things from a couple folks about XPPen?
tbh I've continued putting up with wacom for its wide compatibility, despite the driver headaches.

I've switched to using Macs for art stuff until I can get a solid Linux setup going. There's active Mac versions of almost all of my windows art programs out there, so that made the jump a lot easier for me.

I'd love to someday go all-in on Linux and cut both Win/Mac though, that'd be the dream

I've been the complete opposite so far lol, I can storyboard and even animate stuff in Storyboard Pro no problem, while Harmony's been harder to figure out. Go figure. XD
