I watched smith and Jacks bat against a Kookabura ball in June on an English pitch. It didn't seem to help them learn anything for an Australian pitch. We might as well just suggest the England team drink Fosters for 18 months

Given that the issue seems to be the bounce of Australian pitches, they might have been better using a tennis ball for the last three years

I heard a distant cheer yesterday from another group as well. Presumably they were the county championship bowlers.

And imagine having the new County Championship finals in September! Just daft. The plan to have the climax of the supposedly premium competition in September shoes what the counties really think of 4 day cricket

As Wimbledon starts next week, maybe they should play the Surrey Durham game using a tennis ball. It would be just about as exciting as watching the kookaburra ball games!
