Yep, that was an episode of The Bill where most of the incidental characters where named after Norwich City players. I can remember there was a Mr. Fleck - which will give an indication of the era.

Also in one of the Mission Impossible films (might be the first one) Nathan Hunt is in rainy London. He is in a safe house or hotel room and the radio is on. You hear three football scores read out, one being Norwich. Can't remember the score but Norwich won!

The trick is to have TMS on and the tv on mute... pause the TV to let the radio catch up, sync and Bob's your mother's brother, pics with TMS comms.

Have we ever done a pre season where we have taken so many of the youths before? It's nice for them to get a tour with the big lads and would explain the doubling up on games. I suspect the serious stuff (as serious as you would get with basically a fitness tour) will be tonight and next Saturday.

Not sure it's about learning. More to do with fitness I suspect. The majority of that squad will not be anywhere near the first time squad this season. Great experience for the youngsters though.

I think we were three or four down before this infamous "leap" where the clown hilariously mistimed his jump and the ball bounced over him. From my seat in the Barclay it was a feeling of disbelief rapidly turning to gallows humour.

I feel a lot of people would go for Keelan. But you have to remember that he is 84 years old now, so some of that agility will have gone. I'm going for those still playing - guaranteed win.

I suspect the decision to move on would have primarily been his... shunned for the job he wanted; ambitious to be a head coach and clearly not going to be that at Norwich; why would he want to stay?

Aside of the actual match it was a pretty nice away day... lunch in central London, beers in The Eight Bells in the sunshine, lovely walk through the park to the ground. And then the match started :(

That initial walk once out of the away stand was certainly interesting... look ahead, keep walking and don't react to the shoulder barges and spitting. Then onto the road and walk and look miserable. Absolute shithole and shithouse fans.
