Today is 92nd anniversary of Holodomor. Soviet Russia inflicted a man made famine on Ukraine that killed millions. Today we are trying to wipe the country off the map.

The only difference is the USA is on our side now.

Hey #openbsd team, should reconsider Spring/Amaze as a tshirt partner. I ordered an OpenBSD tshirt from them on the 6th, it's still "printing," a google search (inc. Reddit post by someone from the company 11 months ago) makes it seem like they do not have things together. Redbubble T's I […]

How long do the #openbsd shirts take to arrive from Amaze/Teespring? They've been "printing" my shirt for almost two weeks. Then I googled them and it wasn't good, sounds like they are a trainwreck and have been for over a year.

Finally got #openbsd 7.8 installed on a Thinkpad I had kicking around. So far so good. Running xfce on it while I get the hang of things but want to switch to CWM or DWM/etc so I can be truly leet, I guess.

https://openbsd.org/78.html OpenBSD 7.8 is out! I have to say, I think OpenBSD is now my favourite Linux distro.

@susankayequinn Are there solarpunk resources/articles for "regular" folks living in suburbia or small-towns that give practical and effective guidance to moving towards more solar power, more self sustainable food (year round) etc.? Especially in more northern climates?

I really don’t understand the push to for a computer replicate what goes on in the human brain. I mean, I know what goes on in mine and it just seems ill advised for a computer to be thinking those thoughts.

Sad Carney ditched the DST? Fight back anyway; do everything you can do to move away from big tech. You're already on the Fedi, great! Next up: GrapheneOS/CalyxOS, Linux/FreeBSD/OpenBSD/etc., LibreOffice, Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Jitsi, find an independent web/email host for your email/blogs or […]

To my Canadian friends who have an important election next week, I’ll give you some advice my dad once gave me, which has stuck with my all there years and seems very relevant to this situation:

“Jerry” he said

Anyone seeing posts like this on their community Facebook groups? Neighbor showed me this but I've noticed similar posts elsewhere. Sounds like they are trying to play the victim narrative, hand in hand with "do you believe the polls?" #cdnpoli #canpoli #canada #elxn45

I guess because like five of us are saying something, what was done to @krebs is an absolute injustice and a mockery of his selfless service.

America no longer supports or protects critical infrastructure defenders. I hope someone else appreciates him a lot more.

I know he can’t reply.

It's an administration when you surround yourself with competent experts in their field for policy advice. It's a regime when you surround yourself with incompetent but loyal sycophants.

The world must figure out a way to maintain democratic institutions without relying in the whims of superpowers like the United States. We are all paying for the sins of a Republican Party who doesn't even see us.
