8 mo post-@bmj.com mandate that authors disclose #AI use, 6% of 25.1K submissions reported use, most commonly of chatbots (57%), writing assistant (13%) & visual/image processing tools (3%). May be an underestimate?

Among 64.7K articles retracted 1971-2025, women were 26% of 1st & 24% of last authors, w highest representation among 1st authors for editor/ publisher errors (33.8%) & among last authors for plagiarism (29%)

The #Pharmakon Neuroscience Network, involving 361 authors from 40 countries in 123 articles/56 journals from 12 publishers 2019-2025, appears to have grown too rapidly to have developed naturally
