Stereoscopic cinematography pretty much died off about 10 years ago, very little is shot in 3D now thankfully, it was a massive headache, the very few films with 3D theatre showings today would be converted to 3D by VFX teams in post so no need for any goggles on set.

True, pricey bit of kit to just have laying around tho.

I imagine if you’re editing 360 video content then it’s better to be editing/colouring in VR but it’s not something I’ve tried. I have a Meta Quest 3 but 360 video content looks awful.

Altho there’s supposedly more than 500k bought Vision Pros in the wild so someone is using them.

Also Win11 is dreadful and Linux can run most windows games better, ironically. So hoping Windows becomes less dominant.

Windows has mainly been a gaming platform for a while, if you’re only doing productivity there’s a good chance you’re using a MacBook/Apple.

I don’t know what the USA is like but the majority of uni infrastructure in the UK is Azure, all the backend, office & the learning platforms is Microsoft.
