6. Reach out to your heroes and people who inspire you. I’ve had some fantastic discussions and support from high-profile academics.

7. Read. I’ve enjoyed books outside of my research area, including Atomic Habits and Never Split the Difference. I’d love some recommendations for Q2.

4. Keep to a schedule and break up the day with different activities, especially on days when you don’t have any meetings planned.

5. Remind yourself of your goals and expected outcomes regularly to ensure you’re on track to deliver them.

2. Ask lots of questions and take interest in what others are researching. You’ll be surprised to find how others’ interests align with yours.

3. Take every opportunity to present/discuss your research. Others will ask questions you may not have considered previously and help develop your ideas.

6. We designed and built our new website with members only resources, service finder and chat forum.

I am so grateful to all the committee members who worked tirelessly to deliver on our goals. The committee is phenomenal and I cannot wait to support and cheer on the upcoming initiatives in 2025.

5. We undertook a national service evaluation of ILD services and workforce. The results were published in a national report and presented at #ERS congress

3. We initiated quarterly meetings and collaborated with ILD #Partner Organisations

4. In collaboration with PF Trust, we filmed an interview with the inspirational Chef Alain Roux, who shared experiences of caring for his father, the late Michel Roux, who was diagnosed with #pulmonaryfibrosis

1. We grew our membership to include #nurses, #pharmacists, #AHPs and #doctors. We welcomed membership from all #HCPs in #ILD, including #resp and #rheum

2. We formalised the #emeritus board to ensure we benefit from the expertise of previous chairs
