I'm here for the public banter. No DM's please.
Reminds me of our very own Mbombela stadium in South Africa. Only, we have giraffes instead of... chimneys. And ours is actually built 😂😭

Hi #gardenshour from sunny South Africa! We had our first wonderful spring rain this weekend. So grateful.
I'm sharing pictures of a clivia garden our gardening club visited last month.

A quick search brought it up. I am also thinking of making a garden sculpture and considering different structures. How did Brancusi stack his units?

Strength to you. I also woke up at 3, then decided to join my friends on a short hike at 5. Came back refreshed by nature.

I am modelling three conceptual houses I designed, in terracotta clay. They are scale 1:250 before firing. The trees must still be fired. The last house is under construction.

Beautiful work.
I recently made these three, also for my husband ☺️

Ceramic trees to be fired soon.

I started a terrarium with moss from my garden. I planted it in coarse sterilised sand, moisturised with water and yoghurt. Can anyone tell me how this will end? 😱

This one is my favourite. Did you use sgraffito?

Really impressive. I am all for slow and amazing processes, stretching the medium to its limits. Been making my own paper clay. Paper pulp mixed with terracotta slip and left to dry a bit. Then scraped out thinly with a palette knife. This mini dish is still unfired.

It still needs to be glazed. I am thinking matt translucent glaze, but I feel like the design is not quite done yet. What is it that is lacking? Suggestions?

Pottery planters I have made since August. There is another one which is a larger version of the first, and being fired at the moment. 🌱

This is a toad tree, endemic to subtropical South Africa. It makes a great house plant.
But maybe your pot is a bit small... 😂

It's too hot to go outside today, so I will share my favourite houseplants for #sixonsaturday 🌱

I made three soap dishes. It took two days 😭 but they are perfect. The clay is still drying. I think I will glaze them matte white. I love white #pottery
