Text from the job advertisement, as follows: Postdoctoral Researcher - INNEACH School of Nursing and Midwifery Ref. No. 010781 JOB ADVERTISEMENT Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed-term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Galway on the INNEACH project. This position is funded by HRCI/HRB Joint Funding Scheme 2024 and is available from May 2025 (or as near as possible thereafter) for two years (24 months). The principal investigator is Dr Catherine Houghton, School of Nursing and Midwifery (University of Galway). The successful candidate will work with and report to Dr Houghton. The post would suit postdoctoral researchers seeking to deliver on an interdisciplinary project that includes evidence synthesis, research with older people and young people and co-creation methods. The aim of the INNEACH project is to develop an inclusive intergenerational programme in Ireland, with the potential to: enhance social connectivity and quality of life (QoL) of people living with dementia; and develop empathy and understanding in young people. To achieve the project’s aims, we will conduct a qualitative evidence synthesis followed by a process evaluation of intergenerational programmes currently on offer in Ireland. We will then use a co-creation approach to design an evidence-based dementia inclusive intergenerational programme ready for future feasibility testing.
