I run around, read and listen to fiction, occasionally a non-fiction book slips in.

studied Political Science, then Computer Science, now working as a Software Developer (or Engineer for clout).

located in Switzerland
The author also did a lot of stuff in Clojure land, but moved to Typescript some time ago. Pretty amazing stuff he built (I think, only looking from outside)

Nice! Love seeing these things in JS/TS land. You know of `@thi.ng/hiccup`?

Followed by We Don't Need Another Hero on my playlist, I always loved it.

Although in these trying times I changed the order.

Why don't you just watch out for yourself and let him judge others while not hurting them.

Also: He's baiting you

What's an example of a hinge exercise?

Only doing longish run trainings so I have no clue. Hope to get into some strength training before January.

Do you have some Kind of notifications that you find these patterns in one billion check boxes?

Or you just check the db?

I don't but I think I read something from @gergely.pragmaticengineer.com about Wise recently and he wasn't that happy. Was perhaps on X though

Oh and a big one for me when I did a Vercel -> CF Workers migration: `event.waitUntil` developers.cloudflare.com/workers/runt...

The ability to return immediately but the runtime still awaits some async tasks to finish. I couldn't reliably do that on Vercel back then (~3 years ago).
Migrate from Service Workers to ES Modules
Write your Worker code in ES modules syntax for an optimized experience.

I found the runtime on CF workers more than enough, as all IO "work" like awaiting requests to other services or their own (image resizing, R2, KV, database etc.) doesn't count to the limit.

Vercel/lambda on the other hand all awaiting counts to that limit (I think there were some changes though)
