In my experience, it's based on what we relate to. In "Before the cofee gets cold" everyone cries at a different story, the one whose "positive" (based on personal interpretation) reaction to a scene feels close enough to your personal experiences & aspirations. Big emotion no relation, no cry

If you can't self publish like everyone else mentions you should be able to at the very least use the material/research as extras or examples for D6 courses ("able to" in legal terms)
