Racism creates and cements a system of superiority claims and an unjust hierarchy that denies the fundamental principle of equal human dignity.

If in our attempts to address racism we apply different standards depending on what group we're talking about, we fall into the same 'hierarchy trap'.

We need to acknowledge what makes far-right groups appealing if we're going to effectively tackle them, argues Mario Peucker. A part of this is removing the dichotomy between "us and them", positioning the far-right as a fringe movement on the edges of society.
