I listen to history books and podcasts to help keep me sane. Today listening to Mary Beard’s Emperor of Rome I heard the author say that many of the emperors “thrive[d] on malicious chaos.” Sounds about right.

Last IEP meeting this morning. Those mornings 12 and 11 years ago were so hard, and I wish I could tell myself back then that we would get here.

10 pm last night — “mom, wake up. We need the fake blood and we can’t find it.”
Cut to me in shed with flashlight held under my chin as I open storage containers.
Yes, I’m an enabler, but I’m also happy to be the house where people know they can get costumes and props day or night.
