I signed up with Substack because the creator of Carnivale - Dan Knauf - is publishing a children's story there. ("Gingerland.") He decided to use Substack because he wanted control over his story. I'm not sure yet whether I'll publish there.

At least they dumped them somewhere they thought you would look after them. Not like tipping them out by the side of the road and driving away. Poor little guys.
