I realized I never posted the pizza I made so I made it again tonight. It was a difficult task to convince myself to do so (it wasn't) but I did it anyway!

Behold! Pepperoni and jalapeno pizza! (...I forgot the onions this time.)
A home-made pepperoni and jalapeno pizza sits on a castiron pizza pan. The crust has various spices in it and the sauce sits nicely in a shallow bowl. Pepperoni, sliced jalapenos, and a lot of mozzarella cheese cover almost everything. The pizza has been taken out of the over and is just every so slightly over-cooked in the back, closest to where the oven's coils are. The rest of the pizza is cooked to a golden-brown perfection.

I put my new 15-inch (38-cm) pizza pan to the test. It worked out really well! I do need to make more tomato sauce next time, though, and it went from "just barely undercooked" to "just barely overcooked" in under a minute.

A lump of pizza dough has been spread out over a 15-inch (38-cm) castiron pizza pan. The dough was allowed to ferment for about 18 hours before it was used for the crust. Tomato sauce has been thinly spread across the dough! The sauce is home-made using pureed tomatoes, various herbs, and salt. I miscalculated and didn't use enough tomatoes, so it's a little thin. I'll use more next time! Mozzarella cheese, onions, and pepperoni have been spread out over the pizza as it remains sitting on the castiron pan. The onions are pickled onions from a later harvest last year from my garden. The pizza sits on a castiron pan, on top of a cooling rack, on a wooden cutting board. The pizza is a bit dark. It was slightly undercooked when I had looked previously, and about a minute later, it was slightly overcooked as is shown here. The cook time and temp appears to be 18-19 minutes at 450 F (230-235 C). It was still delicious, though, and the crust was perfect, being just a little crispy on the outside while soft on the inside.

I made onion bread tonight! ...I put the garlic in the pan at the same time as the onion, so couldn't caramelize the onion without risking burning the garlic. I could easily afford to double the amount of onion in the bread, too!

This vase was my grandmother's. She was a smoker so it was coated with tar. I've cleaned it, but can't do more without damaging it.

I went to the nurseries in the area, but none of the flowers looked very good. They looked like they had cold shock and too much water, so I didn't get any.

Pan bread! I love how easy (and quick) it is to make. This one got a bit darker than I'd prefer, but it's still really good!
