Interesting! Any advice on how to achieve something similar? I’m never satisfied with how my traditional pieces look after digitalizing them, even after some post-processing.

Oh no

Hey Edward, can I ask how do you digitalize these? Is it a scanner or regular photos? Lovely brushwork and construction everywhere 💖

Absolutely in love with these. It’s like every little detail tells a micronarrative.

To be honest, I was pretty surprised when they went the 3D painting route. Like... texturing and PBR are a very specific, if not niche, thing. Why would they invest in that, especially when by that time, importing 3D models (or any file to the iPad) was such a pain? I just don't get it.

For context: I've tried to use it professionally since 2015-ish, multiple iPads. I've been part of their beta tester program. I've tried to adapt my process even with caveats and workarounds.

Nothing would make me happier than being able to "work on the road/sofa/park", but this is just not it.

And please don’t get me wrong: it’s really nice to see a company that doesn’t add sloppy AI features or charge for updates, but right now I can’t call this a robust tool for professional artists, only a hobbyist consumer product that adds "bling bling" from time to time.

Yet these basic requests keep being ignored, while their focus goes to the sparkly stuff like new effect brushes. Makes me wonder if they are really listening to their community of pro artists, or if they just try to appeal to the average iPad user who searches for a fun app to sketch sporadically.

I’m super duper interested! It’s exactly the type of experience I’ve been gathering through the years. I’m applying right now :D
