This seems like a missing the forest for the trees take. Winning candidates seem to do better at mobilizing turnout from the small proportion of people who do vote - the real lesson is what drove turnout, not doubling down on what kept folks at home and not voting

Does the science really suggest this can withstand focused or high volumes of interceptions against a peer adversary? Yeah intercepting is a thing, but this seems like wearing a very expensive bulletproof vest that protects against the first shot but not the subsequent ones.

I think it’s hard to overlook Toys’ strategic error of parenting with Amazon and effectively missing the ecom boom. But I think both statements can be true: PE sucks and Toys made bad decisions when they didn’t have to.

I have no idea what the climate was like for Toys back in 2004, but judging from the articles around then it seems like Toys was struggling to be profitable due to Walmart. www.theguardian.com/business/200...
