His fears of not being enough, of losing what he cherishes, of things so far out of control and beyond his strength, of suffering and more loss at both his inaction and through fate, have taken their hold on him.

my piece for @opttazine #ONEPIECE
based on klimt's three ages of woman
an illustration based on klimt's three ages of woman, as interpreted with nami, nojiko and bellemere It's got abstract detailing surrounded the three. Nojiko as a young woman holds child Nami into her arms, both of them clinging to each other in comfort and contentment. Abstract waves and circles (reminiscent of orange bushes and clear skies) surround Nojiko's head, while Nami is blanketed by waves of the sea that fall across their legs in colorful joyous patterns. There's freedom and growth, brightness in their souls for the future that awaits them. Behind them, to the left, Bellemere stands defeated, her marine coat on, her face obscured by her hand and scribbles, as if her face will fade with time. She's weeping, tears falling, blood, money, and flames form the abstract patterns at her feet. She laments the tragedy that will befall them, not for her sake but for her daughters, knowing that her place in their bright future will only be in memory.
