We are already seeing this in action - with students arriving in their senior years lacking the basic competencies that they should have developed in first and second year.

I suspect as well that the decrease is coming almost exclusively out to those who would be traveling for consumption rather than those travelling for work / visiting family etc. In which case the drop in spending would be proportionally greater than the 30%.

As a Canadian, I would like to say that no one is unpacking their bags. I can't speak for everyone, but I think we are almost at the "I am going to stay with my sister" stage of the relationship.
