Democrats are ready to negotiate a bipartisan budget that helps the American people, but we won’t stand by and green light an extreme and partisan budget plan that causes even more harm by continuing the health care cuts.

A Republican is sitting in the White House. Republicans control the Senate & House. They control everything and they own this government shutdown. It is their responsibility to deliver a budget plan that doesn’t continue to cut health care. They haven’t done that.

Instead of stopping the health care cuts, they shut down our government.

The South Sound - and Americans everywhere - deserve better.

The GOP plan makes an unfair system even worse, benefitting billionaires while raising costs & cutting services for everyone else. People deserve access to the retirement insurance program they paid into their whole working lives.
