Yeah, I too am tired of hearing that we’re “on the brink” of a constitutional crisis. We’ve been there for a while. Likewise, I’m tired of hearing that we’re “on the brink” of authoritarianism. We’re there. It’s done.

Exactly. And I am NOT entitled to get it because I worked for SIU my entire career, which did not allow employees (at the time) to contribute to Social Security. If it were an actual entitlement, I’d be drawing it too.
